Bible studies
Through Bible studies we teach the youngsters how to be disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, and how to practise discipleship in their daily life. Together with the local church we also organise easily accessible church services every other week. During the service the children have Sunday School, which is led by some of the youngsters who have already gone through the programme. The children love to sing together, listen to Bible stories and play games. They also have lunch, for many times they come to Casa Lumina on an empty stomach.
Evangelism
Many of the young people love the Lord Jesus Christ and want to serve him wholeheartedly. It is their desire to testify of the love of God. Many are involved in evangelistic outreaches. They participate in the programmes of Eastern European Outreach (EEO Intl.), such as organising bus trips, and they are very active during EEO Intl.’s Barnabas conference and outreaches.
They also go out to the Roma villages in the Oradea area. The youngsters with a Roma background are living proof of the life-changing power of our Lord Jesus Christ! Despite their difficult circumstances, the peace they have found in Him is a testimony which appeals to many people. During these evangelistic outreaches, we generally organise a children’s programme as well.
