Social Center, Fundaţia Est Europa, Oradea - Romania.

Day center for children

The day centre was founded in 2003, because a lot of the children that had been in our kindergarten, needed help in school too, most of their parents couldn't help them, being uneducated or not having enough knowledges. The centre is accredited by Ministry of Labour and Social Justice.

Over the years, the number of children increased, in 2016 we had 24 children, ages between 6 and 18 years old. These children go to different schools in Oradea.
Besides the educational activities, we operate different recreational, religious and infomal activities, which are very important for our children.
Children have a free hot meal, clothes and shoes sometimes, but also different gifts for Christmas and Easter. Also, at the beginning of the school year, children get the supplies for school and a sport equipment (sport suit and shoes). Children also get help for buying the special books for school and buying the uniforms. A few of these children get help for commuter passes, thanks to a sponsor from The Netherlands.

We operate different activities with the parents of the children too. Therefore, once a week, 4-5 parents of the children are coming to foundation, by rotation, where, with the help of a volunteer, they operate different religious, educational and recreational activities.

When we can, we also help children when they get sick, we help them with medicines.

Parents are assisted in obtaining or preparing various documents, both financially and legally.

The program of the Day centre is from 13:30-16:00.
